The Garnet Room is a
lovely first floor room in the Cape, filled with afternoon
sunshine and overlooking our wild English garden. The
windows look out northwest to the river and the apple
orchard, and north to the courtyard and the Farmhouse.
This cozy room is the perfect choice for those who
prefer not to climb stairs and for those who like to be in the
thick of things. It has easy access to the front porch,
the living room and library, dining room and the kitchen...for
tea or a midnight
snack.
The room is complete with a full-sized maple bed and
matching bureau, and decorated in deep merlot red. Pocket doors open into a private shower
bath. Floors are refinished random-width antique pine.
