The Lapis Lazuli room, on the
second floor of the farmhouse, faces northwest to Back River, with a
sweeping view of the river and the cove at the bottom of the
property. The northwest-facing windows also look out over the
back porch and new deck, towards the apple orchard and the freshwater pond.
Spring and Summer nights, the air is filled with the sound of
peepers and frogs. The east-facing window looks out across
Back River road into nine acres of woods and wood trails. It is
blessed with morning sun and bird calls.
It is furnished with a
Queen-sized mahogany bed, as well as a twin bed and
matching bureau, with bedding and decorations in the rich blue,
lapis lazuli theme. This suite is the most versatile
accommodation in the Farmhouse and is the perfect choice for a
small family. It has a private bath with a tub/shower. Floors are wide, rustic
oak.
